Wearn
Formerly known as Mulgoa Quarries, the business had earned a strong reputation and delivered exceptional work for decades. But as the company evolved, the name no longer told the full story. There had not been a quarry in Mulgoa for more than 25 years. In its place stood a business delivering major civil and infrastructure projects with the capability, experience and scale to match. Yet the market had not fully caught up. Wearn was created to close that gap. A name and identity designed to better reflect the business as it stands today, and where it is headed next.
The journey began with a simple but powerful idea: to create a brand that honours decades of history while showing the business for what it truly is today. Masters Agency worked closely with Wearn’s senior leadership team to guide every step, from the business name change to shaping a new visual and verbal identity. The challenge was clear. The company had an extraordinary legacy under names like Mulgoa Quarries, Wearn Plant Hire and Wearn Industries, yet the market had not fully recognised its scale, capability and expertise in major civil and infrastructure projects. Internally, staff needed to embrace the new brand, and externally, the market needed to see Wearn’s full potential.
Masters Agency delivered a comprehensive suite of solutions to make that happen. Detailed branding guidelines ensured consistency across every touchpoint. Tone of voice, brand and editorial copywriting defined how Wearn speaks to clients, partners and employees. Digital and print design brought the brand to life visually across marketing, signage, communications and promotional materials. A modern website provided a clear, confident digital presence, supported by secure domain setup and technical infrastructure.
The brand launch was carefully orchestrated to create impact. Masters Agency managed internal rollout, launch events and activations, administrative updates, and communications across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and email marketing. Every element was designed to introduce the new Wearn Group consistently, honouring six decades of heritage while opening a bold, timely chapter as the business moves into its third generation.
